The Prodigy have cancelled all their upcoming touring commitments in the wake of Keith Flint’s death.

The Braintree rave-rockers were due to play a series of shows throughout 2019 including a North American tour and a headline slot at South West Four at London’s Clapham Common on the August Bank Holiday weekend.

A statement issued by The Prodigy last night (5th March) reads: “Following the tragic death of Keith Flint all forthcoming Prodigy shows will be cancelled with immediate effect. TheProdigyHQ.”

Keith Flint was found dead at his home in Essex shortly after 8am on Monday morning (4th March). He was 49 years old.

His Prodigy band mate Liam Howlett later confirmed that Keith took his own life, writing: “The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend.

“I’m shell shocked, f***in angry , confused and heartbroken ..... r.i.p brother, Liam"

The Prodigy also issued a statement, writing: “It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed.

“We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.”

Keith Flint’s death prompted an outpouring of tributes from the rock world with Slipknot, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, Queen’s Brian May, Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds, Frank Turner, Skrillex and The Chemical Brothers among those paying homage.
